For the past year or so, I have run a blog out of tumblr called The Architecture of the Legend of Zelda, an idea which had been living and growing within the confines of my brain for nearly four years before it managed to manifest itself in an external reality. At the beginning, I had few expectations. I was writing for myself, and solely for myself. And while I still write primarily for me, I have come to the surprising realization that many others are also interested in this most esoteric topic. The Legend of Zelda series has spawned myriad theory, appreciation, and discussion blogs in its history, and I am proud to count myself and my work among them. Happily, I have had more success than I could ever have imagined- especially in such an arcane field as this. For that, I am eternally and unequivocally grateful.
People generally are not that interested in architecture as an art, or even aware that the buildings which we inhabit can even be considered art, but people are interested in The Legend of Zelda; apparently, love of the latter is enough to warrant at least a little interest in the former. It should be quite apparent that I am a deep lover of both of these aforementioned things, and I hope to spread this capacity to understand and appreciate the both of them.
If you find this place, welcome to the effort. It is continual, and always a trial-and-error ordeal. Feel free to jump into the subject matter in whatever way you deem fit. I truly hope to see you around.
